The Production Team at Blythe Island Baptist Church is a group of highly motivated, committed, and enthusiastic servants who value excellence and one another. We strive to create a worship service environment that is comfortable and inviting and we pray that God uses our efforts to help create a “wow factor” that will lead many to Christ and life change. If that sounds exciting and if you’re willing to stretch yourself, try some new things, and learn a whole lot, please consider serving alongside us. We have both technical and non-technical positions and no prior experience is necessary.

Lighting Team
The Lighting Team prepares and operate the equipment used to light both the stage and the auditorium on Sundays. They focus on illuminating properly, creating atmosphere, and focusing attention.

Audio Team
The Audio Team is responsible for the set-up, monitoring, and adjustment of all auditorium audio equipment. Their role is to support the band, speaker, and all on-stage personnel as they lead or communicate to the audience on Sunday. They focus on facilitating worship and communication, focusing attention, and removing distractions.

Video Team (including Computer Graphics)
The Video and CG team prepare and operate the equipment necessary to display live video and any graphics or characters that are needed to enhance the live video (ie: worship lyrics, Bible verses, etc.). They focus on enhancing and delivering the worship and the message, creating visual appeal, focusing attention, and supporting the communicator.

Stage Team
The Stage Team direct the flow of people and props from the back of the stage. They also police traffic near the stage and manage the props behind the stage. They focus on creating the environment, enhancing visual communication, and supporting the communicator.

Serve in Production

Creating a positive worship experience on the weekends is no small task. We rely upon volunteers who are willing to use the talents God has given them to help make our services run smoothly. There are opportunities to thrive behind the scenes in a tech booth or on a camera, or you may want to be on stage sharing your musical gifts as we worship God together.

  • Attend: Your first step to getting involved is attending our BIBC 101/Partnership Class. Click here to learn more.
  • Test Drive: We invite you to come in for a “test drive” to see which of the many aspects of Production ministry you believe God is calling you to. We’ll then connect you with a leader for training and get you ready to serve.
  • Serve: Start serving as part of the team that helps people encounter God, have fun, and feel loved!
